The cost of your project mostly depends on:

This second factor is somewhat dependent on how good your original source material sounds.
For example, a digitally mastered DAT (digital audio tape) will typically sound a lot better than a scratched up old 78 RPM record, and hence will not need as much time "cleaning up".
